TL;DR
- Gemini now allows direct editing of generated files without leaving the app.
- Supported file formats include PDFs, Google Docs, Google Sheets, slide decks, Markdown, TXT, and code.
- PDF preview and editing work on both web and mobile; other formats are web-only.
- Users can edit in full-screen mode and prompt Gemini to make changes based on highlighted text.
- This builds on previous Gemini capabilities for file generation and integration with Workspace apps.
