Is generative AI actually a social media problem?
Our friend Ryan Broderick over at Garbage Day thinks so. I hadn’t thought about it this way before, but it’s interesting! In a good piece about the whole “Hank Green uses AI” kerfuffle, Broderick diagnoses the problem thusly:

TL;DR
- Generative AI's existence is linked to the need for constant social media posting.
- The pressure to be digitally productive fuels the demand for AI-generated content.
- Anxiety about not doing enough is the unspoken driver behind content creation.
