TL;DR
- The HomeView is Apple's first smart home display.
- It features a 7-inch square Liquid Retina touchscreen and built-in Siri.
- The device is designed as a smart home controller, personal assistant, and home hub.
- Its size is smaller than expected, with a design that has similarities to the Apple Watch.
- The display is bright, responsive, and shows photos and customizable 'faces' brilliantly.
- Users can swipe to change faces and choose from numerous options similar to Apple Watch faces.
- It offers both wall-mounted and tabletop versions.
- A dedicated Home Widget face allows control of devices from the Apple Home app, including thermostats, door locks, and scenes.
- It can also display live views from HomeKit Secure Video cameras.
