Regarding the Sept. 18 news article “Sheeran’s tour chaos, explained”:
TL;DR
- The First Amendment does not protect speakers from the consequences of their speech.
- The First Amendment does not extend to speech on private property.
- A purchased ticket for entertainment does not grant the right to hear personal political or religious beliefs.
- Being on stage with a microphone does not mean one can speak without repercussions.
