Meta Reimagines Creator Studio as an AI Companion App for Facebook

Meta is reviving its Facebook Creator Studio as a new, standalone AI companion app for creators. The app is designed to help users grow their audience by offering performance insights, tailored recommendations, and an AI-powered tool for managing and drafting comment replies.

Meta is betting that a dedicated AI “co‑pilot” can win creators back to Facebook at a time when their attention is split across TikTok, YouTube and other platforms.

How we got here

Meta shut down the original Facebook Creator Studio in 2023, steering page managers toward its broader Business Suite for scheduling posts and analytics. The change folded creator tools into a business-focused dashboard, but many creators found it less tailored to their needs.

On June 24, 2026, Facebook announced it was “reimagining its Creator Studio tool as a stand-alone AI companion app designed to help creators grow their audiences on the social network.” The move marks a return to a creator-specific hub, this time centered on AI.

What the new app does

The revived Creator Studio is now “an AI companion app,” with Meta promising it will show users “exactly how to grow on Facebook.” At its core is Meta’s AI Creator Assistant, which can answer performance questions, offer tailored recommendations, and help creators avoid “sift[ing] through charts and dashboards to understand their performance.”

The assistant can respond to queries like “When should I post?” or “What are people saying in my comments?”, and supports follow‑ups such as how an audience has shifted over time. An AI-powered comment tool highlights “the most important comments” and can “instantly draft replies in your voice,” with creators able to edit and approve responses before posting.

Competing visions and early rollout

Meta hopes the app will “eliminate the need for creators to turn to third-party tools like ChatGPT when brainstorming content ideas and analyzing performance,” tightening the company’s grip on the creator workflow. The app is currently in testing with “select creators,” with a public waitlist but no firm date for wider release.

Whether creators embrace Meta’s AI-centric approach—or continue relying on external tools and rival platforms—will determine if this second life for Creator Studio lasts longer than the first.
