Someone should tell Elon about these really cool technologies called radar and lidar.
Musk has famously insisted that cameras are enough for his self-driving cars, when everyone else is pairing them with more advanced sensors. Now He’s explicitly said that his Robotaxis can’t run at night because it’s dark — a problem lidar and radar could easily solve.

TL;DR
- Tesla Robotaxis reportedly cannot operate at night due to darkness.
- Radar and lidar are presented as solutions that could overcome this limitation.
- Musk has historically insisted on using cameras as the sole sensor for Tesla's self-driving technology.
- The industry typically pairs cameras with more advanced sensors like radar and lidar.
